educational classes

for parents, grandparents, friends, and caregivers

Being prepared for the worst, but expecting the best. Having a mind full of knowledge, knowing what to expect, and having a toolbox of ideas to help when things start to derail can be a lifesaver - especially in the middle of the night when things just aren't going well. Families who have taken our classes come back time after time telling us how much better they felt knowing what to do when their baby wouldn't latch or sleep wasn't going well. These classes help families understand what is biologically normal for both the infant and parents (and sometimes other siblings!), and helps to debunk myths shared on social media and set realistic expectations. Please note, our sleep education classes are strictly against sleep training of any kind. It will not be discussed in educational sessions, except to briefly explain possible effects of sleep training. If you are looking for information on sleep training, our classes are not for you. All of our approaches are holistically based on the biologically and anthropologically normal function of the infant and parent relationship and attachment based parenting.

This class is tailored for prenatal and newly postpartum families to help set realistic expectations for infant sleep for the first few years of life. Babies know how to sleep, it's a biologically normal function; but sometimes parents need help getting the environment right, watching for sleepy cues, and getting into a good rhythm with their new bundle of joy. This class covers why it's important for newborns to wake regularly, setting up safe sleep spaces, and how to help the whole family get better sleep during this transitional time. This class is only held in private classes to ensure all families feel comfortable asking questoins. Currently held virtually only.

Class Length: 45 minutes to 1 hour

Virtual Private Class: $40 per family
